| Shop | Notes |
|---|---|
ASOS UK (www.asos.com) | Product URLs containing /prd/<id>. Sizes are not tracked individually. |
John Lewis (www.johnlewis.com) | Colour-specific URLs track that colour; otherwise the cheapest variant is used. |
M&S UK (www.marksandspencer.com) | Standard product pages. |
Amazon (any amazon.* storefront) | Canonicalised to /dp/<ASIN>. May occasionally be blocked by Amazon's bot-detection. |
| Other shops | Best-effort via structured page data; results vary by retailer. |
Exactly one rule is required when tracking an item:
| Rule | Description |
|---|---|
target_price | Alert when the price drops to or below a specific amount. |
drop_percent | Alert when the price falls by a given percentage from the price recorded at tracking time (or when the rule was last switched). |
any_drop | Alert on any price decrease from the last observed price. |
You can also enable notify_back_in_stock to be alerted when an out-of-stock item becomes available again.
Each alert fires once. It fires again only if the price drops below the last alerted price, or if the condition stops being met (for example, the price rises back above the target) and is met again later.
| Tool | Description |
|---|---|
track_item | Start tracking a product URL. Records the current price immediately and sets an alert rule. |
list_tracked | Show all tracked items with their current price, lowest-ever price, stock status, and active rule. |
update_item | Change the alert rule, the back-in-stock flag, or the label for a tracked item. |
untrack_item | Stop tracking an item and delete its price history. |
check_prices | Fetch the current price for every tracked item and report any triggered alerts. Runs in the background, checks the least recently checked items first, pauses a few seconds between shops, and leaves any items it did not reach within about 200 seconds for the next run. |
check_prices does not run automatically. Ask Stavrobot to create a daily cron entry for you. For example:
"Add a daily cron that runs price-haggler's check_prices each morning at 9 am and messages me if anything has dropped or failed."
